As the cricketing world gears up for one of the most anticipated series of the year, the India tour of England, scheduled to commence on June 20.
This five-match Test series, with the opening match at Headingley, Leeds, is not just another chapter in the cricketing rivalry between these two nations but a crucial test of India's mettle on foreign soil, especially following their recent challenges in One Day Internationals (ODIs).

The series holds significant importance for both teams. For India, it is an opportunity to reclaim their dominance in Test cricket, a format where they have historically shown resilience and success. The Indian team will be led by Shubman Gill, the newly appointed Test captain after Rohit Sharma's retirement.
Ahead of the series, Sony Sports Network is promoting the upcoming tour. This series is important as both teams are strong and feature exciting young players, also it is the start of the new WTC cycle.
The promotion also features Sunil Gavaskar, a legendary Indian cricketer and now a commentator. He confidently predicts that India will win the series despite playing in England. Also, it marks the return of Irfan Pathan to broadcasting and commentating, who was left out of the IPL 2025 broadcast.
Sunil Gavaskar and Irfan Pathan also have a combined quote saying, "Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki... iss baar 'Ground Unka hoga, par jeet hamari.'"
The other former India players in the panel are - Vivek Razdan, Saba Karim, Ashish Nehra, RP Singh and Ajay Jadeja. Apart from that, Gaurav Kapur and Arjun Pandit will be the orchestrators of the proceedings.
Ahead of the Test series, India are facing India A in an intrasquad match, which has started behind closed doors from Friday (June 13). The English panel also consists of seven names. Sunil Gavaskar, Harsha Bhogle and Cheteshwar Pujara are the Indian representatives, while Michael Atherton, Michael Vaughan and Nasser Hussain will be bolstering the English presence. Jasprit Bumrah's wife Sanjana Ganesan is to be the presenter, gliding the show seamlessly.
