India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, who is celebrating his 25th birthday on Tuesday (July 18), already owns two elusive records which his role model, Virat Kohli has been waiting for 15 years now.
Ishan Kishan made his debut on March 14 in a T20I match against England in March, 2021. The southpaw made an impact straightaway, scoring 52 runs off 32 balls. The innings consisted of five four sand four sixes.

Since then, the Patna-born cricketer has gone on to play 26 more T20Is and 14 ODI matches. He made his Test debut against the West Indies last week.
Kishan, the captain of India's Under-19 World Cup team for the 2016 edition, has established himself as one of the future stars of India. The multi-utility player can don the gloves, bat aggressively and can also open when needed.
Having idealised Virat Kohli from his childhood days, Ishan Kishan is now living the dream of playing alongside his role model. However, there are two Ishan Kishan records already which Kohli has been waiting for 15 years now.
Ishan Kishan is a two-time IPL champion. He has won the coveted trophy twice since making his IPL debut in 2016. He won the titles with Mumbai Indians in 2019 and 2020.
Virat Kohli who is playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since the inaugural 2008 season, is still waiting to win the IPL trophy.
Further, Kishan already has double hundred in his 14-match ODI career. He holds the record for fastest double hundred in ODI cricket. He achieved the feat in only his fifth ODI match.
Kohli, on the other hand, has hit as many as 46 ODI hundreds but is yet to score a double ton after playing 274 matches for India in the 50-over format.
