Ishan Kishan is all set to feature in the DY Patil Tournament after a reported email from the BCCI to all the centrally contracted players who are not part of the India squad for ongoing Test series against England, and are fit to play.
Immediately after, Ishan Kishan has made himself available to play in the DY Patil Tournament in Mumbai. The 25-year-old is on a break from cricket ever since withdrawing his name from the two-Test series due to mental fatigue.

The wicketkeeper-batter did not turn up for Jharkhand in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2023-24 despite clear instructions from head coach Rahul Dravid who said the youngster will have to play some cricket before making himself available for India selection.
In between all the reports of his tussle with the Indian team management, the Mumbai Indians (MI) cricketer went to Baroda to train with Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya at the Kiran More Academy. The move left someone like Irfan Pathan perplexed.
"Finding it perplexing how someone can be fit enough to practice but not play domestic cricket. How does this even make sense?" h wrote on X.
As per a Cricbuzz report, the BCCI emailed all centrally contracted players to join their state teams. The mail said that players have to be available for selection unless injured. Those who are undergoing rehabilitation are exempted from the directive. As per the sources the board is unhappy with players getting in the IPL mood even before January.
A report in Dainik Bhaskar has said that Ishan Kishan did not play in the Ranji Trophy due to lack of preparation. It also added that the southpaw took a break to spend time with his family.
In the absence of Ishan Kishan, Dhruv Jurel has got place alongside KS Bharat as the wicketkeeper-batter in the ongoing Test series against England.
