Colombo, Sep 1: Four players in the ongoing India-Sri Lanka 3rd Test at Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) ground are set to be punished for their on-field altercations.
India's fast bowler Ishant Sharma, Sri Lankan batsmen Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne and paceman Dhammika Prasad are the 4 cricketers charged for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct.
In a Tweet on Tuesday (September 1), the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the players were charged and the full details of the outcome will be announced after the end of the match today. The players will have to face the match referee Andy Pycroft of Zimbabwe.

Yesterday (August 31), Ishant was involved in an altercation with Sri Lankan players. As the Indian innings ended, Dhammika was seen sprinting towards Ishant as the latter headed back to the dressing room. Ishant was fined 65 per cent of his match fees for provoking opposition players during the 2nd Test.
Chasing 386 to win, Sri Lanka ended the 4th day at 67/3. India are aiming to register their first Test series win in the island nation since 1993.
