Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will look to continue winning run when the playoff aspirants clash in match 20 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Monday, March 4.
Both Shadab Khan-led Islamabad United and Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi saw their previous encounters against Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars respectively being washed out due to rain. Now, the two sides will hope the rain gods are kind on them in tonight’s clash.

Fourth-placed Islamabad United stopped a three-match losing streak with a 7-wicket win over Karachi Kings in their last outing at the National Stadium in Karachi last week.
Meanwhile, third-placed Peshawar Zalmi, extended their winning run to three following an 8-run victory over Islamabad United in the reverse fixture at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore last week.
In the reverse fixture, Babar’s unbeaten 111 off 63 balls powered Peshawar Zalmi to 201/5. In response, Islamabad United rode on fifties from Azam Khan (75 off 30) and Colin Munro (71 off 53) to stay on course for a win, but Arif Yaqoob’s five-wicket haul halted the chase at 193.

Tough game to call after how their previous meeting ended. Islamabad United may have the home advantage, but Peshawar Zalmi will definitely not be a pushover with most of their players in form like Babar and Saim Ayub.
No game has taken place at the venue so far this season after the opening two games were washed out. However, history suggests the team batting second has had the most success in T20 games in Rawalpindi. So, that pattern is likely to continue if the rain stays away.
