Islamabad United vs Quetta Gladiators Weather Update: The match 19 of PSL 2024 was called off half an hour before the toss due to wet outfield at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Saturday (March 2).
This became the second match postponement on the day after match 17 of PSL 2024 was called off at the same venue due to incessant rain. As a result, all four teams shared a point each.

That afternoon match got called off at 4 PM local time after a heavy spell of rain arrived after 3 PM when efforts were underway to dry the field and make it match-ready. By the time the match was called off, the covers were only on the pitches while the rest of the outfield was heavily water-logged.
The conditions made it quite apparent that fans may not get to see any match on the day as both matches were slated in the same venue. Moving the match to Rawalpindi's twin city Islamabad at the last minute was also not an option due to time constraint.
And even if the groundsmen managed to dry off the pitch in time for a reduced-over match later in the evening, the threat of rain loomed at large. As per Accuweather before the match, there was possibility of 68% rain in the evening while the cloud cover will be around 81%. While heavy downpour is not expected, bouts of rain will affect the match.
After sharing points, there's no change of spots on the points table as Quetta Gladiators remaining at second with nine points behind table toppers Multan Sultans (10 points). Peshawar Zalmi are third with seven points while Islamabad United are fourth with six points and Lahore Qalandars remain at the bottom with their maiden point of PSL 2024.
Fifth-placed Karachi Kings are up against table-toppers Multan Sultans in the match 19 at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday (March 3).
