The inaugural season of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), India's pioneering tennis ball T10 cricket tournament to be played inside a stadium, is set to start from March 6. Ahead of that, the inaugural auction of the tournament took place on Sunday (February 25).
This pioneering tennis ball T10 cricket tournament, set to captivate audiences, witnessed a thrilling spectacle as 96 players were carefully selected from a pool of 350 hopefuls.

The six franchises have now formed their squad for the inaugural season, with a combined spending of Rs 4.91 crore in the auction. Chennai Singams were the biggest spenders with a total spending of Rs 96.4 lakh.
• Abhishek Kumar Dalhor is the most expensive buy at the inaugural ISPL auction; sold to Amitabh Bachchan-owned 'Majhi Mumbai' for INR 27 lakh.
• Sharik Yasir, the youngest player in the auction at just 14 years old, was bought for INR 3.2 lakh by 'Bangalore Strikers' owned by Hrithik Roshan.
The total salary cap of each team was Rs 1 crore. Chennai Singams were the highest and Srinagar Ke Veer were the lowest spenders.

Tigers of Kolkata - Rs 87.35 lakh

Here are the ten most expensive players of the inaugural ISPL auction. Apart from the senior players, where Abhishek Kumar Dalhor became the most expensive player, there were U19 players who also went for big money.
