Tiigers of Kolkata have lifted the inaugural Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) title by beating Majhi Mumbai in the Final on Friday (March 15) at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane.
The Tiigers showcased their mettle in the grand Finale and won the match by 10 wickets to secure the maiden ISPL title.

Kolkata captain Prathamesh Pawar won the Toss and decided to field first. It was a slow start from Majhi Mumbai in their batting. They lost their first wicket in the third over as Raviraj Ahire was caught in the deep. After that, a horrific collapse occurred in the Mumbai batting unit as they lost three wickets on the score of 25.
Abhishek Kumar Dalhor, the star of the ISPL Season 1 was dismissed for just 1 run, while captain Yogesh Penkar fell for just 3 runs as Majhi Mumbai were reeling 25 of 5. Vijay Pawle hit a couple of sixes in the 50-50 over but lost his wicket in the final ball as Mumbai lost the challenge, thus getting six runs deducted. The tail failed to capitalize as Mumbai could only make 58 for 9 at the end of their allotted ten overs.
Bhavesh Pawar was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 10, while Raju Mukhiya and Babbu Rana also had two scalps each.
In the run chase, it was a composed start from Kolkata as captain Prathamesh Pawar and Munnai Shaikh gave them a solid base. Shaikh and Pawar also managed to score the first three runs of this entire ISPL season. The pair added 16 runs off the first four overs, and then Munna went berserk in the 5th over. He hit the first two sixes of the Tiigers inning as they churned out 15 runs from the Basharat Wani over.
The pair went on to continue their merry way and Prathamesh Pawar showcased his hitting prowess. Kolkata lost the 50-50 over challenge, but Pawar and Qureshi steered them to a comfortable victory to clinch the championship.
