The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), India's first-ever tennis ball T10 cricket league, has quickly risen to fame with its unique format and thrilling matches. The league combines cricket's grassroots appeal with the fast-paced excitement of T10 games.

As ISPL enters its second season, the recent player auction held on December 11, 2024, at the Jio Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai, generated significant buzz, with franchises battling fiercely to secure the best players.

The auction has already witnessed intense bidding wars as six franchises - Tiigers of Kolkata, Majhi Mumbai, Bangalore Strikers, Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Srinagar Ke Veer, and Chennai Singams-invested in talent to bolster their squads.

Among these players, Abhishek Kumar Dalhor has so far emerged as the most expensive buy of the season. Dalhor, aka Karan Ambala, was also the most expensive player in the ISPL Season 1 auction and so far he is still the most expensive buy in the latest auction.

Ketan Mhatre was sold to Chennai Singams for Rs 17.25 lakh, while Irfan Umair was one of the new names who went for a massive amount, Rs 16.50 lakh to be precise.

Emerging as the most sought-after player in the ISPL Season 2 auction, Abhishek Kumar Dalhor created a stir when Majhi Mumbai secured him for a staggering ₹20.50 lakh. Known for his explosive batting and consistent performances during the inaugural season, Dalhor has established himself as a key figure in the league. He was also the most expensive player in Season 1 and so far the lanky all-rounder looks set to keep his summit status.

Majhi Mumbai's decision to invest heavily in Dalhor reflects their ambition to build a formidable squad for Season 2. Bangalore Strikers and Srinagar Ke Veer were involved in a bidding war but Mumbai came at the final moment and got their man.
