The Indian Street Premier League is growing in stature and has taken a significant step forward in the ongoing 2nd season of the competition.
ISPL, as it is popularly known, is a tournament curated for Tennis Ball cricket with the backing of some cricketing stalwarts. Since its inception in 2024, the tournament has gained massive popularity.

In a country where one starts one's cricket with Tennis ball, the ISPL has provided a much-deserved platform to those who have excelled in their skills in this format of the game.
And as the season 2 is ongoing, there are already plans to make the tournament bigger for the upcoming season. MyKhel understands that the ISPL will be growing bigger and better next year, with a likelihood of an increase in teams.
ISPL is set for a significant expansion in its third season, fueled by strong market demand and increasing public interest. Adding to the excitement, two high-profile celebrities are expected to join as team owners, further boosting the league's prestige.
"The ISPL is gearing up for a major expansion in Season 3, driven by overwhelming market interest. There is already strong demand, and buzz is growing around two prominent celebrities joining as team owners. The addition of two new teams and marquee names will further elevate the league's stature and reinforce its growing value and appeal," a source close to ISPL notified MyKhel.
Currently, six teams are involved in the tournament and with its growing popularity, the number of teams are set to increase. Although the source said the cities are yet to be confirmed, a team from North India and one from Western India can be introduced from the 3rd season of the competition.
