Rohit Sharma has broken his silence for the first time since he was removed from Mumbai Indians captaincy ahead of IPL 2024.
The five-time IPL winning captain with Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma's stint as MI captain had an abrupt end as Hardik Pandya was passed on the baton ahead of this edition of the competition.

Rohit has been keeping aside the captaincy-related issue and has seemed pretty much invested in the Mumbai team despite his rumoured distance with current captain Hardik Pandya, whom he would captain for the Indian team in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
And ahead of that, Rohit acknowledged the fact that everything doesn't go in an athletes way when asked about the captaincy saga at the franchise.
"See, it is part of life. Not everything will go your way. It has been a great experience," the Indian skipper said during the media interaction when asked about his experience playing under Hardik Pandya.
Rohit Sharma has played under many captains and said playing under Hardik is not different from the others. He played under MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag for India, while was also led by Adam Gilchrist, Harbhajan Singh and Ricky Ponting in the IPL.
"Before (also), I have not been captain and I have played under a lot of captains. It is no different or new to me," Rohit added.
The 37-year-old received his share of criticism for failing to score runs in the last few editions of the IPL, but has shown his brilliance this year. The MI stalwart has so far amassed 314 runs in ten matches.
