'It's a blessing for Me' - Sachin Baby ecstatic after becoming all-format highest scorer for Kerala | Exclusive

Kerala captain Sachin Baby is ecstatic after becoming the highest run scorer for Kerala across all domestic formats.

Sachin Baby, the Kerala skipper, went past Rohan Prem to register the top spot for Kerala run-scorers in the Ranji Trophy on Wednesday (Nov 13) during their match against Haryana in Lahli.

Baby, who has been a stalwart for the southern state, got to the summit at his individual score of 15, as he surpassed Rohan Prem's score of 5396 runs. Baby is unbeaten at the end of the day's play on 24 and currently has 5406 runs for Kerala under his belt. With that, Baby has now become the top scorer for Kerala in the three formats of domestic cricket.

Sachin Baby is also the highest scorer for Kerala in the ODI and T20 formats of the domestic competitions as well.

Sachin Baby, after his achievement, spoke to MyKhel in a brief exclusive chat and expressed his happiness.

"Very happy [for the record]. Because it was a dream to play for Kerala and play for so long. And achieving this, it's like really a blessing for me," Baby said, who is determined to score big in this match.

The Kerala captain also confirmed foggy conditions in Haryana early in the morning which curtailed the day's play to just 54 overs. Kerala are currently 138 for 2 and Baby bats on 24 runs. Along with him, Akshay Chandran is also unbeaten on 51 runs.
