Fans slam Jasprit Bumrah after bowler spotted with wife attending function

India's premier spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been out of action for a long time. The fast bowler was ruled out of IPL 2023 with a back injury and hasn't played for India since September 2022.

The pacer missed the Asia Cup T20 and then the T20 World Cup last year and is also poised to miss the World Test Championship final in June. Amid this, the India pacer was spotted at an event with his wife Sanjana Ganesan.

Bumrah was seen with his wife attending the NMACC function in Mumbai. Eminent players like Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh were also present in the function along with their families. As Bumrah's picture at the event emerged on social media, fans got angered and questioned the severity of his injury.

Bumrah is a pivotal part of the Indian squad and his absence has been a huge blow for the men in Blue. Mumbai Indians, Bumrah's IPL employers, also were forced to replace the player with Sandeep Warrier at the start of this IPL season. And amid this, him attending a function has stirred some emotion-driven criticism from the fans.
