Indian pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah has been named the ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year for 2024, capping off a stellar year in red-ball cricket.

Returning to the format in late 2023 after a lengthy absence due to a back injury, Bumrah re-established himself as a dominant force, delivering record-breaking performances in both home and overseas conditions.

Bumrah played a pivotal role in keeping India competitive in the ICC World Test Championship standings. With an incredible tally of 71 wickets in 2024, he was the leading wicket-taker in Test cricket by a significant margin, far ahead of England's Gus Atkinson, who finished with 52 scalps.
