India's bowling soul Jasprit Bumrah has broken his silence after reports of his serious injury.
Amid widespread speculation about his fitness, Jasprit Bumrah has dismissed reports suggesting that he has been advised bed rest ahead of the Champions Trophy. Earlier, a report by the Times of India (TOI) claimed that the star bowler was told to rest at home, raising doubts about his availability for the Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to begin on February 19.

The report also suggested that Bumrah was expected to report to the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru, though no specific date for his check-in was mentioned.
Responding to the rumors, Bumrah took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to address the situation, labelling the news as baseless.
"I know fake news is easy to spread but this made me laugh. Sources unreliable," Bumrah wrote on X accompanied by laughing emojis.
The pacer's clarification will come as a relief to fans, especially as India gears up for the Champions Trophy. Bumrah has been in sensational form since his comeback from injury, delivering impactful performances for India across formats. The reports of back injury are not false, but the extent of his issue has been disregarded by the player.
While Bumrah's tweet suggests that the reports of his bed rest are false, the BCCI has yet to issue an official statement regarding his fitness. Fans will now eagerly await further updates from the team management to confirm Bumrah's availability for the marquee tournament, which will see India starting their campaign on February 20.

The India bowler was forced off the field during the 5th Test against Australia in Sydney. He had a sublime outing in 2024 and ended up with 32 wickets in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, earning the ICC Player of the Month for December.
For the Champions Trophy selection, Bumrah has time to get fit and find himself on the flight to Dubai. India is yet to name the squad for the ICC tournament as BCCI mulls over various issues ahead of it.
