India's premium pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who was unable to play in the final innings of the fifth Test against Australia during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to an injury, might sit out the upcoming white-ball series against England at home.
The series serves as preparation for the Champions Trophy, which is set to commence on February 19.

The Mumbai Indians man emerged as India's top performer with 32 wickets during their 1-3 series defeat against Australia in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Throughout the series, he bowled over 150 overs, a significant workload increase as he was the only Indian bowler who consistently extracted assistance from the pitches.
Bumrah's injury has been attributed to the intense workload he managed during the Border-Gavaskar series. The BCCI medical team is now focused on ensuring he is fit for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, a crucial tournament for India's campaign.
As per a report by PTI, the exact severity of Bumrah's back spasm is still being evaluated.
India's first match of the Champions Trophy is scheduled against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai.
If the injury is classified as Grade 1, Bumrah could require two to three weeks of rehabilitation to return to action.
For a Grade 2 injury, the recovery timeline might extend to six weeks, while a Grade 3 injury, being the most severe, could demand at least three months of rest and therapy.
While Bumrah was not slated to play the T20I series, given it is not a World Cup year, he was expected to participate in a couple of ODIs against England to prepare for the Champions Trophy.
However, his availability for the England series now hinges on the assessment of his injury. He may potentially feature in the last ODI in Ahmedabad on February 12, depending on his recovery progress.
India's home series against England includes five T20Is and three ODIs, starting on January 22.
