Dinesh Karthik, former India cricketer and 2007 T20 World Cup winner described Jasprit Bumrah as a "freak of nature" and referred to him as the most valuable 'Kohinoor' that requires careful preservation.
Bumrah has been superb in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy as he continues to make history with every game and recently surpassed former India captain Kapil Dev to become the leading wicket-taker among Indians in Australia.

"He is a freak of nature. I used this term before and I am not shy of using it again. He is that 'Kohinoor' diamond that we need to protect every day. What he does out there is special. No bowler can do what he is doing in the world today across formats," Karthik said on Cricbuzz.
The former wicket-keeper batter also spoke highly of Bumrah's batting something which, he works on a lot so that he can contribute.
"His staunch ability and resolve come through his batting as well. I've seen him bat it's something he is always working on so he can contribute. For me, it's his character. You speak to him, very simple, very calm, very self-confident," he further added.
Bumrah's performances have been nothing short of phenomenal. He currently tops the wicket-takers chart in the series, claiming 21 scalps in three Tests at an astounding average of 10.90. His unerring precision and knack for unsettling Australian batters have been instrumental in keeping India competitive.
Following his brilliance in Brisbane, Bumrah became India's most successful bowler in Australia, amassing 53 wickets in 10 Tests at an average of 17.15, surpassing Kapil Dev's record of 51 dismissals in 11 matches.
Karthik went on to add further that the Mumbai Indians man will easily go down as one of the greatest fast bowlers, India has ever produced.
The 31-year-old will now be seen next in the Boxing Day Test of the series from 26th December onwards.
