Jasprit Bumrah is in line to be selected for the Champions Trophy 2025, as per reports.
The suspense surrounding Jasprit Bumrah's availability for the Champions Trophy will end tomorrow, with the pacer likely to be included in India's squad.

However, the India pacer's participation in the tournament hinges on his fitness. To assess his readiness, the selectors have decided he will feature in the upcoming ODI series against England, starting February 6.
Bumrah recently suffered a back spasm during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The discomfort began on the second day of the Sydney Test, forcing him to leave the field midway through the match. Subsequent scans were conducted, but the BCCI did not publicly disclose the full extent of his injury. But the India pacer was not able to bowl after sustaining the injury.
The selectors are keen to see Bumrah perform in at least one competitive match before finalizing the Champions Trophy squad. His inclusion in the ODI series against England will be pivotal for the decision.
Given Bumrah's vital role as India's pace spearhead, his fitness will be closely monitored. The team management is hopeful that he will recover in time and regain form, strengthening India's bowling attack ahead of the marquee tournament. There were reports that the pacer will be out for around six months, but Bumrah himself emphatically denied those rumours with a social media post.
"I know fake news is easy to spread but this made me laugh. Sources unreliable," Bumrah wrote on his X profile.
The 31-year-old has been the sole enforcer with the ball and his potential availability will be a massive boost for the Indian team.
India will commence their Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh on February 20. All of India's matches will be played in Dubai, as New Zealand and original hosts Pakistan will also travel to the UAE-based city for the group stage matches.
