BCCI inaugurated a brand-new Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru on Sunday (September 29), which will now serve as the upgraded version of the National Cricket Academy.
The newly built structure is bolstered with modern equipment and facilities, which will aid the cricketers to sharpen their skills. The groundbreaking institution has all the amenities to curate the personalized needs of the players and it has integrated the latest sports science.

Furthermore, it won't serve just cricket, as athletes across any sport will benefit from it courtesy of its modern sports science facility.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah expressed his delight on social media after the inauguration of the centre, which was done amid the presence of all the association members. Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami were also present on the day.
"The inauguration of the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru marks a significant milestone in our journey to elevate Indian cricket to new heights. This world-class facility, built with cutting-edge infrastructure, reflects our unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of cricketers and advancing sports science. It is not only a hub for comprehensive training and performance development in cricket but also a facility that will contribute to the growth of sports science for athletes across disciplines," Shah wrote on his social media.
"At the BCCI, we believe in creating pathways for excellence, and this Centre is a testament to our vision of building a strong foundation for future sporting success. With these exceptional resources at our disposal, I am confident that this facility will empower our athletes to compete at the highest level, both domestically and internationally," the post added.
Just a day ago on Saturday (September 28), Shah also announced the introduction of a match fee in the IPL. In the monumental announcement, the BCCI secretary concluded that each player will receive a salary of Rs 7.5 lakh per match in the IPL, additional to their contract amount in the auction. All the franchises are to allocate Rs 12.60 crore for the match fee salary in IPL 2025.
