India pacer Jaydev Unadkat has created a little piece of record after making a return to the lineup for the 3rd ODI against West Indies.
The left-arm pacer is included in the Indian team for the 3rd and final ODI today (Tuesday, August 1). And with that, the bowler has etched his name into the records book with a unique achievement.

Unadkat played his last ODI match back in 2013. The Saurashtra pacer played on 21st November of that year against West Indies in Cochin. And the pacer makes a return to the ODI team after a long gap of 3540 days.
The 31-year-old has now become the Indian player with the longest gap between two ODI matches. His return has come after 9 years 8 months and 11 days or 9 years 251 days.
But Unadkat is not the player with the longest gap when it comes to players across the globe. There are six players who have had gaps longer than a decade between their two ODI matches.
Here are the players with the longest gap between two ODI matches in their career-
