Gujarat Titans (GT) will be hopeful of Kagiso Rabada returning and linking up with the team for the second half of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season after the South African pacer left the camp at the start of the campaign due to personal reasons.
The 29-year-old featured in the first two games for GT after being roped in by the franchise for Rs 10.75 Crore at the IPL mega auction last year. After being part of the eleven in the defeat to Punjab Kings and the victory over Mumbai Indians, a family emergency forced Rabada to leave the GT camp.

The Titans have kind of coped with the Protea quick's absence as Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and the rest of the pace bowling unit have stepped up to help the team claim three wins in four outings.
Recently, Titans suffered an injury blow to their New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips, forcing the team to sign Sri Lanka all-rounder Dasun Shanaka as a replacement for the remainder of the season. However, Titans were yet to name a replacement or provide any update of sorts on Rabada.
Ahead of the clash against Delhi Capitals, GT assistant coach gave some clarity on the situation as the team still wait in hope for the South African quick to return and link up with the squad. Here is what GT's coach said on Rabada's availability:
Kagiso Rabada return date: While there is no confirmed timeline or date, Gujarat Titans assistant coach Ashish Kapoor revealed that the team is waiting for the South African's return, but is not sure of when Rabada will join the squad.
"We are just waiting for him [Rabada], he might return. He's got some family, personal problems for which he's gone. Once he's sorted out with that, if its sorted out in time, he will be back. But we don't know when. We are just waiting as everyone is," Kapoor said at the GT vs DC pre-match press conference.
In two matches for GT, Rabada has claimed two wickets, producing figures of 1/41 vs PBKS and 1/42 vs MI. Overall, the South Africa quick has taken 119 wickets in 82 IPL appearances at an economy rate of 8.53.
