Kaif replaces Tendulkar in second test due to groin injury

Chennai, Mar 30 (UNI) India suffered a setback ahead of second test against the Proteas as master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar was replaced by Mohd Kaif due to a groin injury .

The second test will be held at Ahmedabad from April 3.

BCCI sources said Sachin, who suffered the injury during the recent Australia tour, had aggravated the injury by not resting.

Sachin played the drawn first test against the South Africa at Chepauk and was seen in and out of the field. He has been advised rest and would be available for selection for the third test at Kanpur.

Indian skipper Anil Kumble too admitted, during the post match press conference that Sachin had aggravated the injury and also suffered from a bad tummy.
