Kane Williamson on Sunday (February 4) went past Virat Kohli and Don Bradman's tally of 29 Test hundreds by reaching the three-figure mark on Day 1 of the first Test against South Africa at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
Williamson now has the joint second-most number of Test hundreds among active cricketers. He is only behind Steve Smith who has 32 Test tons to his name. The number one ranked Test batter in the world is tied with former England captain Joe Root at 30 hundreds.

Virat Kohli is third on the list with 29 Test hundreds. Cheteshwar Pujara is next in line with 19 Test hundreds. Pujara has currently been dropped for the India Test team, and a return anytime soon looks very unlikely for him.
Kane Williamson has now hit four hundreds in his last seven innings. Kane Williamson is behind Root, Smith and Kohli among the list of players with most runs in Test cricket. He has scored 8375 runs in 169 innings at an average of 55.09. He also has hit 33 fifties in the format.
Further, Rachin Ravindra made headlines once again by hitting his first Test hundred. Playing in his first Test match since January 2022, and fourth overall, the 24-year-old southpaw scored 118 unbeaten runs off 211 balls.
The innings from Ravindra consisted of 13 fours and a sox. Williamson (112*) and Ravindra (118*) partnered for 219 unbeaten runs and helped New Zealand finish at a solid 258/2.
