Former India captain Kapil Dev kidnapped or in trouble? A video surfaced on social media showing someone who looks like Kapil Dev with his face strapped and handcuffed at the back.

Former India batter Gautam Gambhir has shared a post on his X profile where it can be seen a person's hands tied at his back and face strapped with a piece of cotton. The clip shows two men are holding him and rushing him towards a room with the former India player looking with helpless eyes.

Gambhir shared the video and asked a serious question whether the World Cup-winning captain was kidnapped or not.

"Anyone else received this clip, too? Hope it's not actually @therealkapildev and that Kapil Paaji is fine!," Gambhir posted on his X profile.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet, fans have commented that this might be an advertisement which is being shot for some promotions. People in the comments section also condemned the ad companies for stopping at such low levels for viewership.

It has happened in the past where celebrities have released clips of them being in trouble and later it has emerged only as ads. Kapil Dev was last seen in the Varanasi Cricket Stadium stone-laying foundation along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar, Ravi Shastri and other cricketing dignitaries.
