Chandigarh, July 21 : Former Indian captain and ace-all rounder Kapil Dev has advised India's One-Day specialist batsman Yuvraj Singh to concentrate more on the game and improve his performance.

Kapil also advised Singh who has been dropped out of the Indian team for the three test away series against Sri Lanka starting on July 23, to be focused.

"Sachin has never been thrown out of the team because of the immense capability he has displayed all the time. Yuvraj should also show that much capability. Everybody says and even I acknowledge that the amount of talent he has is rare. He should make use of his talent at the right place. Sometimes, I feel he does not make use of his talent at the right place," he said.

Drawing parallels between Yuvraj and his father Yograj Singh, a former Test cricketer, Dev said that if Yuvraj devoted even 50 per cent of the hard work that his father put in, no one could stop him from remaining in the Test team.

Kapil also praised Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis for his innovative bowling, and said that he introduced a new style to the cricketing world.
