Karthikeyan sixth fastest on day two

Valencia (Spain), Feb 3 (PTI) Narain Karthikeyan set thesixth fastest time on the second day of the Forumla One wintertest programme with a timing of 1:14.472 at the Spanishcircuit here.

The Indian, who returend to F1 circuit after a gap ofmore than five years, was 12th fastest on the first day of thetest on Tuesday.

Karthikeyan, who was signed by Spanish outfit HispaniaRaching Team for the 2011 season, completed 80 laps during thesecond day of testing yesterday.

"We have been working through the programme. We did 80laps, which is good. Obviously, the times are not soimportant, we were not going for times today, just building upto it nicely," Karthikeyan said.

"Besides, I have tried several Pirelli compounds,therefore I feel really satisfied. Hopefully, we will do somemore work in the same direction," he added.
