Mysore Warriors defeated Bengaluru Blasters by 45 runs to win their maiden Maharaja Trophy T20 title at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, September 1.
Chasing a 208-run target in the Maharaja Trophy 2024 final, Bengaluru Blasters were restricted to 162/8 in 20 overs. 23-year-old pacer Vidyadhar Patil starred with the ball and picked the crucial wickets of Bengaluru captain Mayank Agarwal (6), and their number three batter Bhuvan Raju (1).

Opener LR Chethan top-scored for Bengaluru Blasters with 51 off 32, while Kranthi Kumar, who came out to bat at number, was the second-highest run-scorer with unbeaten 39 off 21.
Five of the top six Bengaluru batters were dismissed for single digit scores. The Bengaluru Blasters batting unit witnessed just two 20-plus partnerships. Mysore spinner Krishnappa Gowtham also picked two wickets for 23 runs in four overs.
Earlier, Bengaluru won the toss and elected to bowl first. Mysore Warriors got off to a flying start. SU Karthik scored 71 off 44, and partnered for 29 off 22 with his opening partner Karthik CA (3). Captain Karun Nair walked in at three and scored 66 off 45. The innings consisted of six fours and three sixes, and partnered for 81 off 59.
Karun Nair also partnered with 48 off 15 balls with Manoj Bhandage. The 25-year-old southpaw scored unbeaten 44 runs off 13 balls at a staggering strike rate of 338.46. Bhandage's innings consisted of two fours and five sixes.
The three solid knocks helped Mysore Warriors post 207/4. The total proved enough for Mysore to overcome their heartbreaking loss to Hubli Tigers in the Maharaja Trophy final last year. Karthik was adjudged Man of the Match for his stellar show with the bat in the season three final.
