KC Cariappa shares video of ex-girlfriend doing drugs amid controversy, Police assures investigation

Former Kolkata Knight Riders player KC Cariappa and his former girlfriend are at odds and their controversy has taken a fresh turn.

Cariappa has been at the centre of a controversy after lodging a complaint about his ex after she made career-ending threats to the player.

Incidentally, his ex complained about the player for forceful abortion and false promises of marriage last year.

But Cariappa told the police that he had a relationship with a woman who hails from Kodagu. The pair fell in love but Cariappa had to break up with her as she was a "drug addict, alcoholic, and promiscuous". The player claimed he only broke up with her due to the woman's drug addiction and alcoholism problems and there was no forced abortion.

And now things have taken a new turn as Cariappa has shared a few videos to the authorities where his former lover can be seen doing drugs. He released the images of his ex-girlfriend which has been surfacing on social media.

Cariappa is a known name in the Indian cricket circuit. The player has represented Karnataka in domestic cricket and has played for KKR, Punjab Kings in the IPL. His last stint in IPL was with Rajasthan Royals, who released him ahead of the IPL 2024 auction.

After the major development, the concerned Police station in Bengaluru will probe and if any alleged abuse is proved, we may see certain sanctions taken against Cariappa's nemesis.

"We will examine the video content that has been released and where it has been released. Procedural implications will be examined. The source of the drugs or the details of the drug peddler is also a part of the investigation. Action will be taken based on evidence. We will examine the legal implications and accordingly proceed," Bengaluru City Commissioner Dayananda was quoted as saying by TNIE.
