KCL 2025 Auction Highlights: The Kerala Cricket League 2025 beckons as the Season 2 of the tournament is set to start from August 21, and will continue till September 6. Ahead of that, the teams are set to undergo the player auction on Saturday (July 5), which will see the six teams of the tournament forming their squads ahead of the new season.

Sanju Samson is the star attraction of the auction, as the India star is set to feature in the upcoming season. The Kerala-born, who has been a phenomenon in national colours, is set to be the flagship attraction of the auction. Apart from that, a number of top players across the state will be up for the bidding war.
The six teams that will feature in KCL Season 2 are - Aries Kollam Sailors, Trivandrum Royals, Alleppey Ripples, Calicut Globstars, Kochi Blue Tigers and Thrissur Titans. Among them, Thrissur and Kochi decided not to retain any players.
A total of 170 players have registered for the Kerala Cricket League auction. The players have been divided into three categories - A, B and C. The teams will have a Rs 50 lakh budget to form their squads.
Sanju Samson is definitely the biggest name in the auction. Apart from that, IPL players such as Vishnu Vinod, Abdul Bazith, Basil Thampi and others will be under the hammer as well. The youngest player in the auction is 16-year-old leg spinner Jaivin Jackson, while the oldest is KJ Rakesh, who turned 42 recently.
