Alleppey Ripples has already finalised its list of retained players ahead of the upcoming Kerala Cricket League competition.
The franchise league of Kerala is set to enter its 2nd season, and the auction will be taking place on July 5, before the tournament starts on August 22. Sanju Samson is set to be a part of the auction this year, after missing out on the inaugural edition last year.

As the franchises have already determined their list of retained players, Alleppey Ripples have also sorted out the players who shall continue with them in the upcoming season as well.
MyKhel understands that the Ripples have retained four players ahead of Season 2. Although the official announcement is set to come on Tuesday (July 1), we can confirm that three capped players (capped for Kerala senior team) and one uncapped player has been retained by the franchise.
Former RCB player and Alleppey Ripples captain from last season, Mohammad Azharuddeen is one of the retained players. Akshay Chandran is also retained, while left-arm chinaman Vignesh Puthur, who went on to make a huge name for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025, is among the retained list as well. Promising youngster Akshay TK is the final name on the list.
Puthur, who had to leave the IPL 2025 midway due to an injury, is certain to make a comeback to competitive cricket in the Kerala Cricket League.
The Ripples finished at the bottom of the points table last season with just 6 points, and will be hoping for a better outing this term. They have also had a change in coaching personnel as former Kerala player Sony Cheruvathur has been roped in as head coach.
