Kerala Cricket League 2026 Auction: KCL Season 3 Player Auction Date, Live Streaming - All You Need to Know

The Kerala Cricket League (KCL) season 3 auction will take place on Saturday (July 11) in Thiruvananthapuram.

A total of 173 players are available in this year's auction pool, featuring a mix of emerging youngsters and established cricketers with Ranji Trophy experience.

Six franchises have already retained 17 players ahead of the auction. Aries Kollam Sailors and Thrissur Titans used all four of their retention slots, Calicut Globestars and Trivandrum Royals retained three players each, Kochi Blue Tigers kept two, while Alleppey Ripples retained one. The franchises will now compete to sign the remaining 156 players.

Each franchise has a salary purse of ₹50 lakh and must build a squad of at least 16 and no more than 20 players. Teams that retained players will have the remaining balance from their purse available for auction purchases.

Players have been divided into three categories based on their experience and achievements. Category A, consisting of players with BCCI First-Class, List A and IPL experience, carries a base price of ₹3 lakh. Category B, featuring standout performers from the Under-19 and Under-23 levels, has a base price of ₹1.5 lakh, while Category C, comprising players who have excelled in district, zonal and KCA competitions, starts at ₹75,000.

Now entering its third season, the Kerala Cricket League has established itself as one of India's fastest-growing domestic franchise tournaments. The previous edition attracted an impressive television audience of over 4 crore viewers on Star Sports, while 70 lakh fans streamed the matches on Fancode. Additionally, Asianet Plus recorded a live television audience of 1.34 crore, highlighting the league's rapidly growing popularity.

KCL Auction 2026 Schedule and Where to Watch

The KCL Season 3 player auction is set to take place on Saturday, with proceedings beginning at 10:00 AM. Renowned auctioneer Charu Sharma will oversee the event. KCL auction will be live-streamed so that fans can watch the entire event live on JioHotstar.
