Kerala to Face Ranji Champions Jammu & Kashmir in Pre-Season Practice Tour: Squad, Schedule Announced

The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has announced a preparatory tour to Jammu & Kashmir for the Kerala senior men's cricket team as part of its build-up to the upcoming domestic season.

The team will play two multi-day practice matches against the Jammu & Kashmir senior men's side in Srinagar from July 23 to 29, with Vishnu Vinod leading the 14-member squad.

The tour is expected to provide Kerala with crucial match practice before the start of the domestic campaign. Facing quality opposition in competitive conditions will help the players assess their form, fine-tune their skills, and build combinations ahead of the Ranji Trophy and other domestic tournaments.

The assignment carries additional significance as Kerala will take on the reigning Ranji Trophy champions, Jammu & Kashmir. Playing against the defending champions is expected to offer valuable experience and test the squad against one of the strongest teams in the domestic circuit.

According to the KCA, the tour has been planned to expose players to different weather conditions and challenging pitches, enabling them to adapt to varying match situations and enhance their overall preparedness for the season ahead.
