Key players can go home for a refreshment before playing WC, feels Sourav Ganguly

Perth, Jan 30: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly feels the members of the national team touring Australia at the moment could be brought back home after the ongoing tri-series gets over so that they could take the fields during the World Cup starting next month with a fresh mind.

Sourav Ganguly's advice for Team India

Speaking to Alan Wilkins on Star Sports during the break of India's final match in the tournament against England at the WACA ground here, Ganguly said key players like Virat Kohli, on whom India's chances at the World Cup rests to a big extent, could be sent home for three-four days so that they get a fresh mind.

India will begin their WC campaign against Pakistan at Adelaide on Feb 15

"It won't matter for Kohli to readjust to these conditions in Australia once they come back for they have already been playing here for some time now," Ganguly said.

Former Australian cricketer Damien Martyn, the other panelist, also agreed to Ganguly's views.

India lost the match against England by three wickets, crashing out of the tournament without a single win. The performance came after the 0-2 loss to Australia in a four-match series, which meant the defending champions ended an entire Australia tour without a single victory in 47 years.
