Dominant displays saw a couple of excellent and quickfire wins for two teams in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Thursday (December 26).
Gujarat were on top of Assam as they managed a comfortable 8-wicket victory. Bundling out Assam for just 75 runs, Gujarat chased it down in 9.5 overs to secure the magnificent win in Jaipur.

In the other match, Mumbai secured a dominating victory over Arunachal Pradesh in Ahmedabad. Arunachal's batters fell to Mumbai's bowling very cheaply as they could only manage 73 runs. Shardul Thakur, Harsh Tanna, Atharva Ankolekar and Himanshu Singh picked two wickets each for Mumbai.
Chasing the modest total, Mumbai's Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL, scored a fantastic unbeaten half-century to take his team home at a canter. Raghuvanshi smashed an unbeaten 50 in just 18 deliveries, hitting 9 fours and 1 six in the process. The KKR batter was dropped in the second match of the VHT but has come back in excellent fashion.
Mumbai has been excellent in the domestic season so far. Under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, the team has done extremely well in limited-overs cricket. They won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy earlier and so far have won all three group-stage matches.
Raghuvanshi made his IPL debut for Kolkata in 2024 and was part of the winning team in his debut season. The Mumbai batter was also bought back by KKR in the IPL 2025 mega auction for a whopping Rs 3 crore.
