Kolkata Knight Riders have commenced their IPL 2024 journey with a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
BCCI released the complete schedule of IPL on Monday (March 24). The IPL 2024 started on March 22 and will continue till May 26.

KKR haven't made it to the playoffs in the last two seasons, and will be aiming to do so this year. The return of Shreyas Iyer at the helm as captain and Gautam Gambhir as mentor have been two massive boosts for the two-time IPL champions. The Knights also had to replace two of their players. Jason Roy and Gus Atkinson were replaced by Phil Salt and Dushmantha Chameera respectively.

KKR are set to host Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens on March 23 to kickstart their IPL 2024 campaign. The Knight Riders, who are two-time IPL champions, will be hoping to make a decent start to the season. Their first match will be an evening clash at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, while Delhi Capitals play Punjab Kings in the afternoon fixture.
As per the updated schedule, KKR will travel to Chennai. Then, the Knight Riders will play five consecutive matches at home. They will then play four away matches out of their last five, and finish their group stages against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
