KKR Best Playing XI: Kolkata Knight Riders have gone about their business at the IPL 2025 mega auction quite brilliantly as they completed the auction with 21 players in the kitty.
After retaining six players ahead of the event, the Knight Riders looked to sign back as many players as possible from the auction and their auction strategy was based on retaining the core players.

Rinku Singh (Batsman) - ₹13 crore
Sunil Narine (All-rounder) - ₹12 crore
Andre Russell (All-rounder) - ₹12 crore
Varun Chakravarthy (Bowler) - ₹12 crore
Harshit Rana (Bowler) - ₹4 crore
Ramandeep Singh (All-rounder) - ₹4 crore
Venkatesh Iyer was their biggest buy in the auction as the all-rounder was reinstated for a whopping Rs 23.75 score. Anrich Nortje was another key buy while South African wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock is likely to add a lot of value as well.
KKR also went on to buy back Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Vaibhav Arora from the auction whereas Ajinkya Rahane and Moeen Ali's acquisition at the flag end of the event can prove to be pivotal for them.

The Knight Riders will bank on the opening pair of Sunil Narine and Quinton de Kock, while Rahmanullah Gurbaz can also be a replacement for the Proteas star at the top of the order. Angkrish Raghuvanshi is likely to be promoted at no.3 for KKR whereas Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Singh will fill in their middle order.
Ramandeep Singh and Andre Russell will be their first-choice finishers and the all-rounders' acquisition means the Knight Riders can have a top seven of their core team. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana will be the key bowling options for them, the former may spearhead the attack.
Spencer Johnson can fill in as their fourth pacer with the left-arm pace option, while Umran Malik may be the other Indian pace option.
