KKR players enjoy 'Holi' in Kolkata Hotel, Special Image Emerges amid Celebration - Watch

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players enjoyed the festivities of Holi at their Kolkata Hotel on Monday (March 25).

KKR started their IPL 2024 campaign with a thrilling victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Their next match is on Friday (March 29) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and ahead of that, the players had a colourful celebration for the Holi festival.

Staying at a five-star hotel in Kolkata, all of the players had a superb day. Captain Shreyas Iyer, head coach Chandrakant Pandit and mentor Gautam Gambhir were among the mix and had a wonderful time.

Youngsters like Sakib Hussain, last match's hero Harshit Rana were drenched in colours. Shreyas Iyer was not spared as KKR shared videos of their captain 'Tiger Iyer' being poured colour by his teammates. Suyash Sharma, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Chetan Sakariya also joined in the celebrations.

Another special picture also emerged as KKR shared Shreyas Iyer and Gautam Gambhir enjoying the day together. It has been a homecoming for both of them - Shreyas being back from a one-year hiatus while Gambhir returned to his abode after seven long years.

Kolkata's dream run in the IPL were during the Gambhir era. The former India player led the Knights to two IPL title wins in 2012 and 2014. Amid the festive mood, the aim for the team will be to get the third badge on their shirt.

KKR made a perfect start to the campaign as they commenced the season on a winning note. They will be hoping to make things count as they play RCB in the next match.
