The Kolkata Knight Riders have made it to the Milky Way and beyond. A love that transcends way beyond just the Moon as KKR have etched their name amid the universe.
There are moments in cricket that live forever in the hearts of fans - triumphant victories, unforgettable comebacks, and championships that define a legacy. But for Kolkata Knight Riders, their journey is no longer just a tale told on the pitch. It now shines in the night sky, eternal and unyielding.

The Knight Riders, three-time champions of the TATA Indian Premier League, have gone where no cricket team has gone before, straight into the cosmos!
The franchise has permanently etched its history among the stars by registering three celestial bodies in the Gemini constellation, each named after their iconic IPL-winning years: 2012 (Korbo), 2014 (Lorbo), and 2024 (Jeetbo).
| Star Name | Position | Magnitude | HIP Number |
| Korbo | RA 6h 33m 36.2s and DEC 14⁰ 9' 18.6" | 5.57 | 31277 |
| Lorbo | RA 7h 15m 57.2s and DEC 27⁰ 53' 50.7" | 5.75 | 35152 |
| Jeetbo | RA 7h 26m 56.3 s and DEC 20⁰ 15' 27.2" | 5.94 | 36156 |
"The stars have been registered by the date that we won each of the three titles - 27th May 2012, 1st June 2014 and 26th May 2024. All three stars have been picked from around the Gemini constellation, since all three dates fall under the Gemini Zodiac," a statement from KKR read.
This cosmic tribute is not just a celebration of victories but a testament to the unbreakable spirit of the team and its fans. The Gemini constellation, under which all three championship-winning dates fall, now holds a special place for every Knight Riders supporter. Under a clear night sky, anyone can look up, find these stars, and relive the magic of KKR's most glorious moments.
"The third star on top of our crest is a great feeling this year," said Binda Dey, Chief Marketing Officer of KKR.
"To add to the legacy, KKR has taken its heritage beyond the pitch and into the cosmos-quite literally. By registering these three stars around the Gemini constellation in tribute to our IPL titles, we've created a first-of-its-kind celestial celebration. 'Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo' is now not just our motto- it's written in the stars."
And what better way to honor the fearless motto of KKR-Korbo (Play), Lorbo (Fight), Jeetbo (Win)- than by placing it where it will shine forever? This is more than just a tribute to past victories; it is a beacon of inspiration for future seasons, reminding every Knight Rider that greatness is not just achieved.
