Sunil Narine, the spin maestro, has carved an unparalleled legacy by becoming the first bowler ever to claim 600 wickets in T20 cricket.
He reached this historic milestone during the DP World ILT20 match between Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and Sharjah Warriors on Wednesday, November 3. Narine secured wicket number 600 by dismissing Tom Abell, marking a monumental moment in the short-format game.

Renowned for his mystery spin and exceptional control, Narine has been a stalwart for various Knight Riders franchises, including Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League, and Los Angeles Knight Riders. His consistency and wicket-taking ability have earned him the reputation of the greatest T20 bowler ever to grace the field.
Following the match, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders honored Narine with a specially designed jersey emblazoned with the number 600, celebrating a milestone that stands as a hallmark in T20 cricket history.
"The Knight Riders family stands immensely proud of Narine's extraordinary achievement, recognizing that this record may well stand the test of time as one of cricket's most enduring milestones," a statement from Knight Riders said.
Sunil Narine's 600 T20 wickets have come from various sources encompassing international cricket and franchise leagues. The West Indies star has picked up 192 IPL wickets in 188 matches, while he has also taken 52 international T20I wickets for the West Indies.
For the Knight Riders, Narine has been a stalwart, as he has been part of three IPL-winning campaigns. Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, KKR retained the star player, who will be playing his 15th season with them next year.
