Kolkata Knight Riders are up against Lucknow Super Giants today (April 14) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Lucknow Super Giants have handed the debut to Shamar Joseph today. The West Indies pacer has replaced Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq for the match at the Eden Gardens.

Shamar Joseph is a West Indies bowler who was born in Baracara. The 24-year-old pacer grew up playing with fruits as balls.
Joseph had done multiple jobs before making his West Indies debut, as the youngster worked as a security guard as well as a construction labourer. His native Baracara is also one of the remotest places in earth as they have no mobile phone access.
Joseph rose through the ranks and represented Guyana Amazon Warriors in CPL, where he caught the eye.
The pacer finally made his West Indies debut against Australia earlier this year. He picked up 13 wickets in his first two Test matches, which included a seven-for in his debut as West Indies registered a famous Test win in Australia.
Shamar Joseph was roped in by LSG as a replacement for Mark Wood. The pacer will be playing his first IPL match and will be hoping to make a mark at the grandest stage of franchise cricket.
