KKR vs LSG: 'Udta Ramandeep' - KKR Fans on Twitter go crazy as Ramandeep Singh takes blinder at Eden Gardens

Ramandeep Singh has put the KKR fans in a frenzy after taking a blinder to dismiss Deepak Hooda in the IPL 2024 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday.

Shreyas Iyer put LSG to bat after winning the toss, and they got an early breakthrough as Quinton de Kock departed early in the innings.

Ramandeep Singh Catch

Captain KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda were building a decent partnership, but that took an abrupt end as Ramandeep Singh pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss Hooda.

In the 5th over of the match, Mitchell Starc's overpitched delivery was driven by Hooda. The timing was not perfect and the ball sliced off the willow. Although it looked likely to hit the gap, a flying Ramandeep decided to intervene and plucked it off the air diving to his right.

It was a massive breakthrough for KKR and for Mitchell Starc as well. The Australian was going expensive prior to that but the wicket gave him a much-needed respite.

The Knight Riders supporters hailed Ramandeep Singh for his brilliant catch on social media.

A fan, seemingly from Pakistan, also credited Ramandeep for picking up that fantastic catch.

"I am not bowling because of the Impact Player rule. However, Gauti bhai has told me to keep bowling in the nets as you never know I might need to bowl," Ramandeep said prior to the match, but he has so far been brilliant in the field. He also took the catch which dismissed LSG captain KL Rahul.

KKR signed Mitchell Starc for a whopping Rs 24.75 crore, and this fan thinks the Australian can give some percentage of that to Ramandeep Singh.
