Kolkata Knight Riders will host Punjab Kings in match 53 of the IPL 2023 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday (May 8), with the game scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST.
KKR led by Nitish Rana will look to continue their winning run to keep their playoffs qualification hopes alive, while PBKS led by Shikhar Dhawan will look to bounce back after suffering their fifth loss to get their campaign back on track.

KKR, who opened their campaign with a defeat to PBKS, responded with back-to-back win before going on a four match losing streak. The Kolkata-based side, however, have secured two wins in the last three matches with their most recent victory coming over Sunrisers Hyderabad.
PBKS, on the other hand, opened their season with back-to-back wins over KKR and Rajasthan Royals, but suffered two successive losses before going on mixed run of three wins and three defeats in the last 6 match with their most recent result being a defeat to Mumbai Indians.
KKR will also want to avenge their reverse fixture loss after PBKS pulled off a 7-run (DLS method) win in a rain-affected match at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali last month.
Now, the two sides clash in Kolkata, where several players including KKR star all-rounder Andre Russell and PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan, have a chance to reach milestones or break records during the Kolkata Knight Riders vs Punjab Kings clash at the Eden Gardens.
