He was well-supported by Sunil Narine, with the duo forming a century partnership. However, RCB's bowlers, particularly Krunal Pandya with figures of 3/29, applied pressure in the middle overs, restricting KKR from accelerating further.

In reply, RCB's chase was anchored by Virat Kohli, who remained unbeaten with a well-crafted 57 runs. He was ably supported by captain Rajat Patidar, who contributed a steady 12 not out. Ajinkya Rahane (KKR): "I thought we did really well till the 13th over but then wickets changed the momentum. I think its still early days and out bowlers tried their best but it didn't work out. We thought 210-220 was achievable but wickets didn't help us. They had a very good powerplay and our score was under par. Also no wickets in powerplay didn't help us. We don't want to think too much about it. We try to improve as a unit and get better."

Rajat Patidar (RCB): There was pressure but it was a good day for me. Bring Suyash Sharma was clear for me but it was for Andre Russell's wicket. He was our main wicket-taking bowler so I backed him.
