Kolkata Knight Riders are up against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match 36 of IPL 2024 on Sunday (April 21) at the Eden Gardens.
KKR are currently placed 2nd in the table with 8 points in six matches. RCB, on the other hand, are at the bottom of the table with 2 points in seven matches.

KKR lost their last home match at the hands of Rajasthan Royals. And the Knight Riders will be looking to get back to winning ways swiftly. They have won the last three matches against RCB and will be eager to extend the streak. RCB are in deep trouble at the moment. With six losses in seven matches, this match is a virtual knockout for them and a defeat would probably seal their exit from the group stages.
Kolkata Knight Riders may bring back Nitish Rana in the team. They don't have any injury concern at the moment. In terms of lineup, KKR will be eager to make some changes. Mitchell Starc's poor form persisted against RR and the Knight Riders may have to consider his place in the team. Suyash Sharma could also be introduced in place of Varun Chakravarthy, who has struggled thus far.
RCB's bowling is in disarray this season. Lockie Ferguson's entry in the last match didn't change the scenario as the Kiwi was hit across the ground. But Ferguson may keep his place as he plays against his old team. Glenn Maxwell is likely to mis whereas Cameron Green may come back in place of Reece Topley to add a bit of batting strength. Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik have been the only two performers for RCB and the latter would be hoping to rise against the team he captained for three and a half seasons.
