Kolkata Knight Riders are set to welcome Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a crucial IPL 2024 match on Sunday (April 21) at the Eden Gardens.
The Knight Riders find themselves in a decent position with four wins in the first six and are in the race for the playoffs, while Royal Challengers are currently rooted at the bottom of the points table with just a solitary win in seven matches.

It has been a horrible outing for Virat Kohli and co. in this IPL. A win is imperative for them as they travel to the City of Joy. Earlier this season, RCB were hammered by the Knights at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
In Match 10 this season, RCB scored 182 for 6 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium courtesy of Virat Kohli's fantastic 83 off 59 balls. Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell also played their part with the bat.
But KKR chased down the target with ease. Sunil Narine and Phil Salt provided them with a solid start and then Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer took them home with more than three overs to spare.
The two teams have met 33 times and KKR have won 19 times out of them, compared to RCB's 14 wins. Currently, RCB are on a three-match losing streak against the Knight Riders which stretches from last season.
Kolkata Knight Riders posted 204 runs at the Eden Gardens. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 57 off 44 balls, but the star of the batting was Shardul Thakur, who ravaged the RCB bowling and scored 68 off just 29 deliveries. David Willey picked up 2 wickets for Bengaluru. In the run chase, RCB were bowled out for just 123 runs as Varun Chakravarthy picked up 4 wickets. Suyash Sharma also made his KKR debut in this match and picked up 3 wickets.
KKR: 204/7 in 20 overs (Shardul Thakur 68, Rahmanullah Gurbaz 57; David Willey 2/16). RCB: 123 all out in 17.4 overs (Faf du Plessis 23, Virat Kohli 21; Varun Chakravarthy 4/15).
POTM: Shardul Thakur
Kolkata batted first at the Chinnaswamy and posted 200 for 5. Jason Roy scored 56 off 29 balls while Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer also contributed for KKR. In the run chase, Virat Kohli starred again with a half-century but none of the others could perform and RCB fell 21 runs short, managing 179 for at the end of their 20 overs. Varun Chakravarthy picked up a three-for again for the Knight Riders.
KKR: 200/5 in 20 overs (Jason Roy 56, Nitish Rana 48; Wanindu Hasaranga 2/24). RCB: 179/8 in 20 overs (Virat Kohli 54, Mahipal Lomror 34; Varun Chakravarthy 3/27)
