Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will look to keep their playoff hopes alive when they host already eliminated Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday (May 4).
Ajinkya Rahane-led KKR head into the match on the back of their fourth win of the season in 10 outings, having beaten Delhi Capitals by 14 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, where the reigning chams defended a total of 204/9.

Riyan Parag’s RR, on the other hand, are fresh from a 100-run humbling by Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, where the inaugural champions crumbled in their run chase of 218 and suffered their eighth defeat of the season, which also ended their playoff hopes.
RR has already lost to KKR earlier this season in the reverse fixture, when they failed to defend a total of 151 against the Kolkata-based side at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
The Royals will, however, still look to spoil KKR’s party when the two sides lock horns for the 32nd time in IPL history and for the eleventh time at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Here is a look at the KKR vs RR head to head numbers:
