Rajasthan Royals pacer Avesh Khan celebrated a superb catch of Phil Salt by wearing the gloves of Sanju Samson in the IPL 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday.

Avesh, on his follow-through, stuck out his left hand and completed a terrific catch. It was not easy for the Rajasthan Royals Bowler to hold on to the catch, and he ended up not just taking the catch, but kept the ball from hitting the ground in his palm as well.

After completing the catch, Avesh Khan was seen saying something to his captain and wicket keeper, Sanju Samson, and then took Samson's gloves and celebrated by showing it to the RR dugout. Fans were wondering what was the reason behind Avesh Khan's bizarre celebration, but we can explain the reason behind it.

KKR vs RR: Why Avesh Khan celebrated wearing the Gloves?

Avesh Khan's gloves celebration was a reaction to what Sanju Samson said in the previous match. The RR captain collided with Avesh in the last match against Punjab Kings and then light-heartedly said, "I need to tell my fast bowlers that it is easier to catch with gloves".

Hence, after taking the catch against KKR, Avesh showed his captain that the bowlers are also capable of taking catches without gloves. The Rajasthan pacer held the glove and flaunted it towards the dugout probably indicating that he was capable of doing the same.
