KKR vs RR: Eden Gardens witnessed a breathtaking turnaround on Sunday as Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag showcased an explosive display of power-hitting against Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 53 of the IPL 2025 at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.
Set a daunting target of 207 after KKR piled up 206/4 in their 20 overs, Rajasthan Royals found themselves in early trouble at 71/5 by the eighth over. But Parag, leading from the front, turned the game on its head with a ferocious assault that began in the 13th over.

Facing Moeen Ali, the right-hander launched five consecutive sixes in the over, lighting up Eden Gardens and breathing life into what seemed like a lost chase.
Parag didn't stop there. On the first delivery of the 14th over, he took on Varun Chakaravarthy and sent the ball soaring for his sixth six in as many balls - drawing comparisons with the greats who've achieved similar feats in IPL history.

Despite losing key wickets early - including Yashasvi Jaiswal (34 off 21), Dhruv Jurel, and new inclusion Kunal Singh Rathore - Parag stood tall amidst the collapse. After 16 overs of play, Rajasthan Royals had reached 164/6, needing 43 runs off the remaining 24 deliveries.
Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders capitalized on ideal batting conditions with their batters putting up a commanding total of 206. Andre Russell was the standout performer yet again, smashing an unbeaten 57 off just 25 balls. Promoted up the order, the Caribbean superstar hammered 4 boundaries and cleared the fence six times.
Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi also made a significant contribution with a quickfire 44 off 31 balls, while Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ajinkya Rahane chipped in with 35 and 30 runs respectively. The power-hitting display in the latter stages ensured KKR finished with a flourish.
