Kolkata Knight Riders steamrolled their way to the 3rd IPL title after a staggering victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 Final on Sunday (May 26).
The Knight Riders dismantled SRH after bowling first, and bundled them out for a paltry 113 runs. And then chased the target down within 11 overs in a scintillating fashion to win the IPL title at the Chepauk Stadium.

This is Kolkata Knight Riders' first IPL title in a decade, as their last IPL triumph came in 2014.
As KKR registered and wrapped up a fantastic IPL campaign with the crown, a plethora of records were set and broken at the Chepauk Stadium. Here are the records set in the IPL 2024 Final-
Sunrisers Hyderabad's 113 is the lowest score by a team in the IPL Final. TheOrange Army had a disastrous outing with the bat. This is also Sunrisers' joint 2nd lowest total in IPL history.
This is the first time a batting team hasn't had a player scoring 30 runs in an IPL final in its 17-year history. SRH captain Pat Cummins was the highest scorer with 24 runs.
Kolkata Knight Riders have now won three IPL Finals in three outings on the Indian soil. With a 100 per cent record, KKR have the best winning record in IPL Finals on home soil.
Six KKR bowlers picked up at least a wicket in the Final. Andre Russell got three wickets (3/19), Mitchell Starc (2/14) and Harshit Rana (2/24) got a brace each, whereas Sunil Narine (1/16), Vaibhav Arora (1/24) and Varun Chakravarthy (1/9) got one wicket each in the match.
This has only happened for the 2nd time in the IPL Final when six bowlers of a team have got a wicket.

Kolkata Knight Riders have played all of their 3 IPL Finals on Indian soil in the Southern part of the country. They won the IPL title in 2012 in Chennai, then won in Bengaluru in 2014. And now they have registered another win in Chennai (2024).
A total of 56 dot balls were bowled in the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings, which is the most in an innings in an IPL Final in 17 years.
This has been the quickest end to an IPL final in history. A total of 29 overs were bowled in the match, which accounts for the least number of overs bowled in an IPL Final. This was also KKR's biggest win over SRH in IPL.
