KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final: Shreyas Iyer's Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Pat Cummins' Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns in the final of IPL 2024 at the MA Chidambaram in Chennai on Sunday, May 26.

KKR, the league stage table-toppers defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2024 Qualifier 1 on Tuesday. The win directly sent KKR into the IPL 2024 final.

On the other hand, SRH finished second in the league stage, and played in the Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) after losing in the Qualifier 1. Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan by 36 runs on Friday, May 24.

The two teams have met twice in the IPL 2024 already, and SRH lost on both the occasions. KKR defeated SRH by four runs in their IPL 2024 opener, and then defeated them in the Qualifier 1 by eight wickets.

"It's a red soil pitch, 63m and 70m square boundaries, the straight boundary is at 77m. Red clay tends to have a lot of bounce, this is a well prepared pitch and we should have a high scoring game. The scores could range anywhere around 175-190. This is the third final at this venue and there have been high scores in both the previous games," Ian Bishop and Matthew Hayden said at KKR vs SRH toss.

"Not a lot of spin, but significant bounce. Unconventional shots, horizontal bat shots is what the batters will look to do against spin. The groundsmen have assured that there'll be no dew tonight as well," they added.

In the Qualifier 2 - the last match at the venue - SRH scored 175/9 after being asked to bat first. SRH pacers picked eight wickets. Jaydev Unadkat got run out. RR were restricted to 139/7 after SRH spinners picked five wickets.
